ปอเมด is a place where I, Poramet Aiemsa-ard (Palm), will publish pieces of writing about things I couldn't get rid of until they're transformed into texts.

I look for the nuances in language, meaning, and expression; for what lies beneath; and for the in-between.

Self

Most of my life revolves around reading, writing, editing, and thereafter translating. That is why I have created this site to archive my oeuvre.

While studying and exploring in a myriad of fields at the Faculty of Arts, Silpakorn University, I endeavored to become a part of the writing and publishing spheres, became a proofreader, and ultimately landed as an editor of FA-AKSORN JOURNAL. I finally achieved a Bachelor of Arts in English (literature — passionately) and History.

I try to communicate through visual language in the THESE UNSELECTED project whenever I have the chance.

Work

English-Thai linguist-turned project manager

You can't sell things people don't understand in their own language. I think that applies to products, services, and many more.

That is why localization matters.

Since December 2020, I have been oscillating between Thai and English — by means of translation, localization, and transcreation of various content, including User Interface (UI) strings, technical documentation, business communications, marketing campaigns and taglines, product advertising, press releases, policies, tutorials, and Help Center articles for global tech companies.

In February 2024, I embraced a more challenging role as Project Manager for an end-to-end, Korean-to-Thai webtoon localization, along with other projects. I did things I never imagined I would have the opportunity to do. I redesigned workflows, scaled the monthly production, and collaborated with a network of 50+ talents.

Having experienced the field as both a hands-on practitioner and a strategic manager, I find these two paths do not diverge; they converge. Precise language, optimized process, and a deep understanding of the target audience create a profound impact not just for the business, but for the users who experience the product in their language every day.

I'm now looking to bring this expertise into software and UI localization, where that convergence matters most.

I'm available for projects and collaborations in translation, localization, editing, writing, and project management — with a focus on work that communicates and resonates. You can connect with me on LinkedIn or send an email to poramet.aiems@gmail.com for enquiries.

Below is a living archive of the projects I’ve worked on.
